Uku ("we") is a ukulele tuner app developed and operated by Summer Digital. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Uku app and website, how we use it, and how we protect it. Uku is designed to never require an account or sign-in, and we deliberately keep the data we collect to a minimum.
Microphone —— The tuner uses your microphone in real time to analyze pitch. All audio analysis happens on your device — we never record, upload, or store any audio data.
In-App Feedback —— When you use the app's built-in "feature request" or "bug report" function, we collect the message you write, the feedback type, the app version, and your device model — used to help us track and act on your feedback.
Language Preference —— The website uses one cookie to remember your chosen display language — used only for that, never for tracking or advertising.
We don't collect account information, email addresses, or real names — Uku never requires registration.
The feedback you submit shows up in our internal admin dashboard and is pushed to the development team's LINE group in real time, helping us respond and improve the product quickly. We don't use your feedback content for any other purpose.
LINE —— The feedback you submit is pushed to our team's internal group via the LINE Messaging API.
In-App Purchases —— Purchases are always processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment information, only a "purchased" status from Apple or Google.
Beyond that, we never sell your data or provide it to third parties for marketing purposes.
Feedback records are retained to help us track the product's improvement history. If you'd like to request deletion of feedback you've submitted, please contact us using the details below.
Uku isn't designed specifically for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make significant updates to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and announce the change.
